A new partnership between the Greater Omaha Chamber and Scott Data Center aims to establish Omaha as a leading hub for artificial intelligence innovation in the Midwest.

The initiative focuses on expanding AI infrastructure, increasing access to GPU-powered cloud services, and creating educational workshops to foster local talent development. By leveraging Omaha’s existing data center capabilities and regional expertise, the partnership hopes to attract startups, researchers, and established companies looking to scale AI projects.

“Omaha’s tech ecosystem is primed for growth in AI,” said Maria Lopez, Chief Innovation Officer at the Greater Omaha Chamber. “With this collaboration, we’re building the foundation to ensure our city plays a central role in the AI economy of the future.”

Scott Data Center recently upgraded to a Tier III data center with GPU-as-a-Service, providing affordable, high-performance computing resources to startups and enterprises.

In addition to infrastructure, the partnership plans to launch AI-focused workshops and hackathons in collaboration with local universities, including the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Creighton University, to nurture homegrown talent.
